I think forgiving is one thing. 
But I also think, that memory is another. 
Sometimes, people are different under stress. 

They make decisions they wouldn’t have otherwise made, if they were relaxed and happy. 
Sometimes they hurt you. They hurt me. 

And now, I know. 
I tell myself. 

“Thank you. Because now I know.”
Now I know you can say mean things. 

Now I know you could be pushy. 

Or perhaps cruel. 

Now I know you can’t put your issues aside for my needs.

Thank you. 

Because now I know, for next time. 
So forgiveness is easy. 

And I’m mindful for the next time.
